Social Service.

In the photograph my mother Kumari Wattegedara can be seeing receiving a donation for the orphanage. Sadly she's no longer with us. Her passing away happened three years back. She conscientiously worked for the Girl's Home. She was also in the committee of the Buddhist Ladies Association of Kurunegala. Apart from that she taught Buddhism for the children at the Sunday school.

This is a copy of an official letter written by my mother in her capacity as the president of the Maliyadeva Girls' Home Society. In her letter addressed to the Divisional Secretary of the
Divisional Secretariat, Kurunegala she brings to his notice the inadequacy of musical instruments for the oriental orchestra and accentuates on the fact that a formal request has been made on a previous occasion for the necessary provisions.

A draft of an official letter written by my mother in her capacity as the president of the Buddhist Ladies Association of Kurunegala. She writes to the director of the Teaching Hospital Kurunegala as regards for the grant of permission to donate dry rations among the patients suffering from Tuberculosis.
